Maintenance Mode

Maintenance Mode is a special operational state for the DATAMIMIC system, typically triggered when the system is undergoing maintenance activities such as data backup or restoration. This mode ensures the integrity and security of the system during critical operations.

Purpose

  • System Protection: Prevents regular users from accessing the system during sensitive maintenance tasks.
  • Data Integrity: Ensures that no user actions interfere with backup or restore processes.

Activation

  • Admin Control: Only administrators can activate or deactivate Maintenance Mode.
  • How to Activate:
  • Navigate to System Maintenance in the admin panel.
  • Go to Maintenance Banner Configuration.
  • Toggle Maintenance Mode as needed.

User Experience

  • Admins:
    • Continue to have full access to the system during Maintenance Mode.

  • Other Users:

    • Are automatically logged out.
    • Are redirected to a dedicated maintenance page (see image below).
