Scopes name values that are created by the evaluator for the current record. Prefer this.<name> for a local nested value and qualify an ancestor deliberately instead of relying on a flattened name.

The nested-generate scoping guide contains complete examples for current, parent, root, and shadowed values.

Limits

A scope is a runtime view, not a declared record schema: field names and value types come from the active descriptor. Completion intentionally carries no static scope examples.

Availability: Direct parent generate-frame view. Available only from a nested generate evaluation.

root

Availability: Full merged evaluation tree. It is materialized only when an expression references root.

this

Availability: Current generate-frame variables and product values. Available only during record evaluation.
